Wise UP

Learn from the very best

I have to ask myself from time to time, “Am I wising up as I grow older, or am I just getting to be another old fool” Aging can make us bitter and mean-spirited or, by God’s grace it can make us more gracious. So much depends on the way we are growing. Life is relentlessly dynamic. We are either growing sweeter and easier to get along with or we are growing into sour face old wet blanket whom no one can stand to be around… The question is always this: which way are we growing. Wise up!

The development of self-confidence starts with the elimination of this demon called fear, which sits upon a man’s shoulder and whispers into his ear, “You can’t do it – you are afraid to try – you are afraid of public opinion – you are afraid that you will fail – you are afraid you have not the ability.”

The envious see envy in every soul; the miser thinks everybody is eager to get his money; he who has subordinated conscience in the making of his wealth, sleeps with a revolver under his pillow, wrapped in the delusion that the world is full of conscienceless people who are eager to rob him, and the abandoned sensualist looks upon the saint as a hypocrite. On the other hand, those who dwell in loving thoughts, see that in all which calls forth their love and sympathy; the trusting and honest are not troubled by suspicions.

The good-natured and charitable who rejoice at the good fortune of others, scarcely know what envy means; and he who has realized the Divine within himself recognizes it in all beings, even in the beasts.
And men and women are confirmed in their mental outlook because of the fact that, by the law of cause and effect, they attract to themselves that which they send forth, and so come in contact with people similar to themselves.
Do you wish for kindness? Be kind. Do you ask for truth? Be true. What you give of yourself you find; your world is a reflex of you.

Practice makes perfect

We know about your hectic schedule. We also know the only way you truly understand a subject is by practicing it in a real environment. This is why we’ve set a playground area that’s full of hours of exercises, questions and challenges. It even has a gaming section.

An athlete has to personally practice and compete in the race. Yet most successful athletes have coaches. All great football clubs have coaches yet the coach himself doesn’t play ball in the field. I’ve supervised Masters and PhD students. Supervisors are coaches. While supervisors guide the students, the students have to do the work.
Coaches ensure we’re on track and they keep us on our toes. A life coach is like a rail guard, not a road block. You’ll always notice them when navigating through sharp corners. When the going is smooth, they get out of your way. They don’t block you from pursuing what you were designed to do. But they keep you focused and warn you when you’re about to drop the ball.
A life coach points to the hope on your inside. They don’t do the job for you. They help you see your own potential. They simply tell you, “You can do it! You can finish that degree. You can earn that salary. You can be the next CEO. You can have a great marriage. You can drive your dream car. You can live in your dream home. You can overcome that bad habit.”
And then they help you set and achieve goals. They help you in vision casting. When you have stinking thinking, they whip you back to positive energy. When you try to blame others, they lash you back to taking full responsibility for your life. They save you time and money for experimenting through life.
Life coaches help you in re-inventing yourself. They help package you into an irresistible brand. They help you raise your personal standards. They help you believe in yourself. They help you see the talents and gifts you already have. They push you out of your comfort zones and help you keep your eye on your goal.
That’s what I’ll be doing with the guys who registered for my 10 Weeks of Mentorship. Their lives will never be the same again! If you missed the registration deadline, purpose to be in my March 2021 mentorship class. Don’t walk through life blindly when God has provided for you a willing, able and anointed mentor and life coach. Personally, I have had mentors in different phases of my life. Right now, I have three mentors. Everyone needs a mentor. Don’t try life all by yourself. One is too small a number for greatness.
